Face Yoga

We’ve all heard of yoga. Stretching out your body and clearing your mind can have incredible effects on your body and wellbeing. Now, Face Yoga is a practice that is trending in the beauty world. Its lofty claims and interesting name have lots of people interested in this concept.

Want to know more about Face Yoga? Read on to learn more about what it is and see what one of our ESU followers has to say about her experience.

What is Face Yoga?

Just like the name suggests, Face Yoga stretches and strengthens the muscles in the face the same way that traditional yoga does with the body. The result is glowing skin that is free of wrinkles and other signs of ageing. It’s even meant to help reduce migraine headaches, balance your hormone levels, and boost your energy levels during the day.

How Exactly Does It Work?

Face Yoga’s repetitive facial exercises are meant to increase circulation in the skin and tone facial muscles. By engaging in this “resistance training” for your face, your muscles will get stronger and therefore firmer and more lifted. Increased volume in the muscles of your face leads to plumper, smoother skin.

This practice also is meant to improve your complexion. The techniques are specially designed to increase blood circulation in your muscles, skin, brain, and glands. Plus, it encourage the production of elastin and collagen. Firmer skin with fewer wrinkles also means that you’ll look younger and healthier thanks to Face Yoga.

Here’s A First Hand Experience…

We first heard about Face Yoga from Carla, who recently started practicing Face Yoga using Glow In Face – an online training program that offers packages for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. According to their website, these exercises will provide you with noticeable results in just a few weeks’ time.

Here’s What Carla Had To Say About Her Experience:

“I do face yoga most mornings for 10-30 minutes depending on how much time I have. It works the muscles of the face to naturally lift much like exercise does for the body. It also has the benefit of bringing blood flow to the skin so the skin looks more radiant. I have been doing it for a couple years  but changed to Glow in Face Yoga recently. They have a five week program with one new workout per weeks.”

“The photos were taken 5 weeks apart when I started the new method. I not only see the difference, my skin also feels firmer.”

Try this at-home exercise to get an idea of what it is like. This particular Face Yoga exercise is meant to tone and firm the muscles around your eyes, which will minimize puffiness, dark circles, and crow’s-feet.

  • – Begin by forming a “V” or a “peace sign” with your front and middle fingers
  • – Place your fingers on each end of your eyebrows and apply gentle pressure
  • – Look up at the ceiling with your eyes only. Be sure not to lift your chin
  • – With your eyes up, move your eyebrows into a “squint” for 5 seconds
  • – Relax your eyebrows
  • – Repeat this 10 times
  • – To finish, squeeze your eyes shut for 10 seconds
